Strongly Urge and Fiercely Advocate

February 14, 2005

Earlier today, a planned, important missile interceptor test failed to launch from its silo. The result of this unfortunate circumstance will most likely lead to further delay a fully operational missile defense system that would provide protection to the citizens and communities of the United States, especially those living in the states of Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, and California that are defenseless against a real and credible North Korean threat.

We at MDAA strongly urge and fiercely advocate to those in Congress, in the Administration, in the Department of Defense and in the defense industry to solve the problems, to resume testing quickly and to increase the pace to deploy and make operational an effective layered missile defense system as soon as possible.

Our public safety, our economy, and our lives depend on it.
