A pillar of expertise with depth of knowledge

Highly respected amongst his colleagues in Congress, his associates and friends.

A powerful subtle and significant leader on Defense for the Nation, for Congress, the United States Senate and for Hawaii that worked the underpinnings of the leadership by the Hawaii Senate Delegation from Senator Dan Akaka and Senator Mazie Hirono in tandem with Senator Daniel Inouye to have made significant impact on the Department of Defense and the Defense of our nation.

Representing alternative and congruent perspectives from the Hawaii Congressional Delegation in preserving, resourcing and protecting the Pacific from Hawaii has kept and propelled INDO-PACOM and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam to be at the forefront.

In Missile Defense, a tremendous supporter of the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) which is invaluable for what it has done and what it is ready to do for the development, testing and advancement of the nation’s missile defense capabilities.

In his legacies we thank him and honor him for his selfless service and contributions.

His passion for the Air Force Academy, UCLA and the Kentucky Derby will forever be missed.
