New Jersey Reception of Champions in Camden, New Jersey on April 12, 2023

“Today, it’s super special because this is about champions, but this is about world champions and you’re world champions and you’re relevant. If you look what just happened this weekend, China had 12 warships, including their new carrier, exercising around Taiwan and having over 200 incursions of Taiwan’s flight zone. You are on the cusp of leading development and capability for us not to go to war and for us to deter China and Russia, what you’re doing here today and what you’ve been recognized for what you’re doing.” – Riki Ellison, April 12, 2023, Camden, New Jersey

“I’ll just say that ladies and gentlemen, this morning we were at Lockheed Martin and we watched some leaders grab an electrical socket and yank it. No, we did. We took pictures. I’m describing it perfectly. It was the 130th weapon system, the most successful Defense Department program ever, and certainly the best ship-building program in the history of the world. Our ships that we’re building today, delivering today will be here another 40 or 50 years. So that’s like, that’s crossing over a century of the AEGIS weapon system for which all of you are part of and many of you are now operating at sea. Can you imagine being part of a century of war-fighting capability? It’s extraordinary.” – Mr. Paul Mann, Director of Program Sea Based Weapons, Aegis BMD for MDA, April 12, 2023, Camden, New Jersey

We were honored to host our 7th Reception of Champions yesterday with the new civilian director of the Program Sea Based Weapons, Aegis BMD for MDA, Mr. Paul Mann, the Vice President of Lockheed Martin Rotary Mission Systems, Chauncey McIntosh, and the Commanding Officer of AEGIS Technical Representative (AEGIS TECHREP), Captain Sid Hodgson
