MDAA synchronizes development of academic and innovative solutions and processes in Space and Defense while growing a cadre of transformational talent across the United States. It facilitates and enriches capability advancement through collaborative education and personnel placement. It further facilitates integration of research in Space and Defense policy and technology with Allies and Partners from the Middle East, the Asia-Pacific region, and Europe. These activities are centered amongst a prevalence of Defense interests and activities in Southern California, including military facilities and relevant defense industry. Activities will further leverage the Los Angeles area and the State of California for its academic, cultural, socioeconomic, and physical setting for a wide range of collaborative activities.
