At least 23 people were killed and more than 134 wounded in a massive Russian drone and missile attack overnight on Tuesday, one of the deadliest attacks on Ukraine’s capital Kyiv since the war began more than three years ago.
The barrage struck several districts of the capital, Ukraine’s interior ministry said. One of the heaviest strikes was reported in the central Solomianskyi area.
A missile slammed into a nine-storey residential building, partially collapsing the structure and sparking fires.
