Russia will consider in its military planning the US’ deployment of components of the land-based Aegis Ashore ballistic missile defense system near the Polish community of Redzikowo, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told reporters on Friday.
He referred to those actions as another confirmation of the fact that the initial Washington’s arguments on establishing a system of anti-missile defense to defuse the danger from the Middle East and Far East “are actually neglected now.” “The facility in Poland, same as in Romania and many other spots, is going to become an element of the global anti-missile defense system, which is being constantly improved, and whose possibilities, including with regard to potentials, equal opponents, are expanding as well,” Ryabkov said, adding that Moscow “will consider that in its military planning…”
