“We will become more powerful in the defense, military and missile fields as well as drone (unmanned aerial vehicle) and we will not allow insecurity to prevail in the country,” Brigadier General Hajizadeh said on Thursday.

Brigadier General Hajizadeh underlined that Iran’s military equipment are domestically produced.

“We produce the most advanced military and defense weaponry, including different kinds of surface-to-surface, surface-to-air and surface-to-sea missiles,” he added.

In relevant remarks in late July, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan reiterated Tehran’s firm stance to continue developing its missile industries, stressing that its defense programs do not violate the nuclear agreement inked with the world powers in July 2015.

“Iran’s missile program is on the agenda of national defense; the US or other states cannot take stance against Iran’s defense rights,” Brigadier General Dehqan said.

The Iranian Defense Minister underlined that Iran attaches importance to restoration of security and preserving the country’s national interests.

Brigadier General Dehqan slammed the Saudi government and Israel for mixing up the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the UN resolution 2231, and said, “It is surprising that the Saudi reactionary government and the Israeli occupying regime are employing settlement of the international dispute and the 12-year standoff over the nuclear program as an excuse for their propaganda campaign against Iran.”
