On the night of October 9 (starting from 7:00 p.m. on October 8), the Russian forces launched 112 strike drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types from the directions of Millerovo, Kursk, Shatalovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, over 70 of which were Shaheds.
The air attack was repelled by Ukraine’s air defense missile forces, electronic warfare units, drone system units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data as of 9:00 a.m., air defense forces shot down or suppressed 87 drones — Shaheds, Gerberas, and others — over the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.
Strikes by 22 drones were recorded in 12 locations.
