The Japanese foreign and defense ministers will hold talks with their counterparts in Germany on Thursday, Japan’s government said, with the two sides expected to discuss cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region where China’s military presence is increasing.
“We will aim to beef up our cooperation with Germany, which has been deepening its engagement in the Indo-Pacific region” at the nations’ second “two-plus-two” meeting, Defense Minister Yasukazu Hamada told a press conference on Tuesday.
