India test-fires new surface-to-air missile from defense base off Odisha coast

India on Thursday test fired a new surface-to-air missile from a defense base off Odisha coast. The missile was developed jointly with Israel.

The medium range missile was test fired at 8:15 am from a mobile launcher in the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur, reported PTI.

The test launch was a grand success and it met all the targets,” a DRDO official said.

The DRDO scientist also added that“the missile along with MF-STAR will provide the users with the capability to neutralize any aerial threats.”
