Yemeni Army Fires 3rd Ballistic Missile at Saudi Airbase within 24 hrs (Updated)

The Missile Unit of the Yemeni army and the Popular Committees launched at dawn Tuesday a Qaher1-type ballistic missile on Jizan regional airport inside Saudi Arabia, Al-Massira TV channel reported.

The rocket – developed by the expertise of Yemeni forces  – has been the third of its kind following two previous missiles fired at Khamis Mushayt military base in the southern province of Asir in Saudi Arabia.

The Yemeni military media broadcast video footages of Tuesday’s operation, pointing out that the base is one of the most important Saudi air bases.

The Saudi defense minister Mohammad bin Salman visited Jizan hospital to check the conditions of the injured soldiers as the latest toll reported over 200 killed or wounded among KSA troops.

Moreover, the Yemeni army and the Committees made significant progress in Hazm al-Arjan and Mafraq Al-Deeq areas along the way to the road linking the capital Sanaa to central Marib province.

Improvised explosive devices were detonated targeting Saudi vehicle, hitting it directly and dealing human and material losses with the aggression forces.

Bodies of the dead mercenaries remained scattered in the battlefield.
