CHANTILLY, Va., Oct. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Vencore, Inc., announced today that as a partner of the QWK Integrated Solutions LLC (QWK) joint venture, it will support the High Energy Laser Technical Vehicle Demonstrator (HEL TVD) task order on the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/ Army Forces Strategic Command (USASMDC/ARSTRAT), Design, Development, Demonstration and Integration (D3I) program Domain 1 contract. This award is for the base (concept refinement) period of the task order.
The HEL TVD program is designed to give warfighters a cost effective, high energy laser weapon system to protect them from rockets, artillery and mortars at fixed and semi-fixed locations.
