USAF signs $866 million contract to sustain missile warning/missile defense and space tracking radars

Military Embedded Systems:

The Sustainment and Modification of Radar Sensors (SMORS) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract awarded to Northrop Grumman has a seven-year period of performance and a value of up to $866 million.

Northrop Grumman’s work on the SMORS contract will enable the high availability of ground-based radar systems for Air Force Space Command, including the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS), Precision Acquisition Vehicle Entry Phased Array Warning System (PAVE PAWS), and Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS) radars, as well as the support systems associated with them.
