Three missiles explode near US embassy in Baghdad

On Sunday, July 19, three missiles exploded near the US embassy in Iraqi Baghdad. They fell in the “green” zone in the city center. This was reported by the Al Sumaria TV channel.

“Three Katyusha missiles landed in the backyard of the American Embassy in the Green Zone,” the source said.

The place from where the missiles were fired is still unknown, and no casualties have been reported. However, it is known that rockets launched from Katyusha-type air defense systems exploded near the embassy during a visit to Baghdad by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

Earlier, on July 5, the US Embassy, ​​located in the “green” zone in Iraqi Baghdad, also came under fire.
