ANCHORAGE (KTUU) During an interview with Channel 2, Alaska Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan said that he’s been assured that a cancelled missile defense project will have no effect on Alaska’s ongoing military construction projects.
“No impact,” he said of the hundreds of millions of dollars that has been allocated for the projects. “The only impact will be is the missiles that go into the new field at Ft. Greely will likely, almost certainly be coming in later.”
The cancelled contract will also not impact Alaska’s existing missile defense program, Sullivan said.
