Pompeo Says U.S. Reinforcements Have Improved Saudi Arabia’s Security

RIYADH—Months after missile strikes damaged Saudi oil facilities and prompted the U.S. to add fighter jets and Patriot missile-defense systems to Saudi Arabia, U.S. officials say security is much improved.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, visiting Prince Sultan Air Base near the Saudi capital, met with members of the U.S. Air Force squadron and Patriot missile battery deployed there. The secretary said the Aramco facilities hit in the September attack are now better defended against such precision strikes.
