Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has received a potential five-year, $475 million contract from the Missile Defense Agency to develop, integrate, test and field advanced discrimination algorithms for the Ballistic Missile Defense Systems program.
The Defense Department said Monday Northrop’s systems business will also help MDA operate and sustain complex methods and tools used to model BMDS capacities.
DoD added the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will also cover specialized development, operations, testing, integration and maintenance support for multiple systems and MDA directorates that support the BMDS mission.
