Defense News:

We now have video of a  recent engineering demonstration of the Indirect Fire Protection Capability Increment 2-Intercept system successfully firing an Israeli Tamir missile.

The missile successfully engaged and destroyed an Unmanned Aircraft System during the testing phase at White Sands Missile Range.

The system features the Multi-Mission Launcher, which is able to fire a variety of different missiles and can also rotate 360 degrees.

According to a press release the Tamir missile was originally designed as an interceptor for countering rockets, artillery, and mortars, or CRAM, and is currently used in Israel’s Iron Dome Weapon System.

The MML has also successfully launched the Longbow Hellfire, AIM-9X Sidewinder and Miniature-Hit-to-Kill missiles during the testing at White Sands.

The IFPC Inc 2-I system is a mobile ground-based weapon system designed to defeat unmanned aircraft systems, cruise missiles, and rockets, artillery, and mortars. The US Army Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center located on Redstone Arsenal developed the MML from the ground up, delivering two prototypes in September 2015.
