Missile Defense Agency to Host Public Meeting on Clear AFS Radar Facility Operations

The U.S. Missile Defense Agency will host a public meeting on Wednesday to talk about a new radar facility that the agency is building at Clear Air Force Station.

The meeting will be held online and by telephone only, to prevent the risk of exposing members of the public to the coronavirus.

During the meeting, missile-defense officials will discuss a Draft Environmental Impact Statement that the agency has compiled on the operations of the facility, known as the Long Range Discrimination Radar, or LRDR. The officials also will respond to questions from the public…
