Lockheed Martin has awarded Aerojet Rocketdyne a contract to develop equipment for the US Missile Defense Agency’s Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) capability.

Manufactured by Lockheed, the THAAD shields US and allied forces’ critical infrastructure against missile attacks.

The agreement orders solid rocket boost motors that power the weapon system.
