The US Navy has awarded defense firm Lockheed Martin two contracts worth a combined total of approximately $3.3 billion to work on the Trident II D5 missile program.
In the first contract, Lockheed’s Space division received $2.11 billion for the Trident II D5 missile production and deployed systems support and Warhead 93/Mark7 development.
Moreover, the Navy earmarked $143.5 million from its fiscal 2024 weapons budget for the effort.
