The value appraisal of a Lotte Group-owned golf course in Seongju, North Gyeongsang Province, which has been designated to house U.S. THAAD missile interceptors, will be completed this week.
A Defense Ministry official said Monday that a land swap deal will likely be signed between the ministry and Lotte Group before the Lunar New Year holiday in late January.
The official added that the ministry doesn’t need to set aside an extra budget, since it will acquire the Skyhill golf course in exchange for military-owned property in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province….
