Fort Bragg soldiers providing air and missile defense in Middle East

A Fort Bragg unit is providing air and missile defense for U.S. and other forces in the Middle East, officials said.

Maj. Gen. Clement S. Coward, commander of the 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command, said Tuesday that he is deployed with Fort Bragg’s 108th Air Defense Artillery Brigade. He said he couldn’t say exactly where the unit is located.

“They are doing a tremendous job providing the air and missile defense … across the entire Middle East right now,” he said.
