SHABLA, Bulgaria – The Bulgarian Air Force, Navy and Land Forces as well as the 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command, U.S. Army Europe, kicked off its first day of exercise SHABLA 19 at the National Air Defence Training Centre “Shabla” in Bulgaria, June 10, 2019.
“This is going to be an action-packed exercise, and I cannot express how truly fortunate and thankful we are for our Bulgarian counterparts in letting us be a part of it,” said Col. Thomas E. Moore, commander for the 174th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, which serves under the 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command. “There are a lot of different types of systems here and I am looking forward to seeing them and how they operate.”
