With the U.S. facing China and Russia as adversaries, one Army general last week stressed the need for laser weapons to be deployed alongside the nation’s missile defenses. “Anytime you can put some kind of laser on a somewhat stationary platform, you’re going to enhance its reliability . . . consistency and performance,” said Brig. Gen. Frank Lozano, speaking at a Thursday panel hosted by the Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance.
