Today we celebrate a historic scientific achievement of defending the World. We recognize and congratulate NASA for its success hitting a moving target 6.8 million miles from earth. The Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART), NASA launched a satellite through space in an effort to test our long-range targeting capabilities to stop future asteroids that may be on a collision course with earth. Using this kinetic impactor method is a massive step for science towards astral defense of the World.
In the defense of conflicts within our World, this week a rapid acquisition deployment of current kinetic interceptor technology against cruise missile defense -the NASAMs- was delivered to Ukraine for active combat defense against Russian missiles as announced by President Zelensky of Ukraine. This right away saves lives and serves as a defense for the incoming escalation of Russian missile attacks. Russia has already fired more than 3,800 missiles into Ukraine over eight months killing thousands of people. As Russia escalates in massive troop commitment, increased missile attacks and nuclear threats, stability and unity on deterrence are required by NATO and its partners. Deployed operational Kinetic energy interceptors of an integrated Air and Missile Defense in Ukraine and in bordering NATO countries is a tactical deterrent for stability and unity.
With a high demand driven by Russia on a NATO limited IAMD operational capacity for Europe this is requiring serious consideration of moving current U.S. deployed IAMD Patriot capabilities from the Middle East into Europe. Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE have an abundance of their own Patriot and THAAD operational capabilities in capacity and have been very successful in combat of intercepting missiles with these systems. They have had over two decades of combat experience, capability improvements and capacity exponential growth adapting and defeating the Missile threat sponsored by Iran, the Houthis in Yemen and from Iran Proxies. It is time for the United States to give these Middle Eastern countries and allies more responsibility to equip, man and command their own Patriot, THAAD and soon to come NASAMs in defending joint Allied US Air Bases in Qatar and UAE.
On the other side of the World, our President stated that we will defend Taiwan in a CBS 60 Minutes episode that aired on September 18, 2022.

Integrated Air and Missile Defense with capacity of Kinetic Energy Interceptors is required in Taiwan and its neighboring islands, as it is in Ukraine, for continued stability and unity amongst the Indo-Pacific Allies in deterrence and defense against China. China has accelerated its aggressive behavior on Taiwan in flying in Taiwan air space, harassing ships in Taiwan waters, launching ballistic and cruise missile exercises through Taiwan air space. Our Asian and Pacific Allies are instrumental in unity and stability of which Kinetic Energy Interceptors of IAMD, BMD and future Hypersonic Defense must be operationally deployed connected to integrated sensors. Guam is the hub and multiple islands forward are the spokes for the deterrence and defense of Taiwan and the first island chain.
