London, United Kingdom

Dear Members and Friends,

The Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance (MDAA) is honored to serve as the Chair of the 8th annual Air and Missile Defense Technology conference on 13th and 14th of November 2024 in London, United Kingdom.

We have organized a distinguished and influential gathering which comes at a critical inflection point for Europe and NATO as they review the existing missile defense architecture. This conference will provide the opportunity to review and leverage new technologies and develop realistic courses of action, similar to the efforts achieved at this same conference a year ago.

The time has come for the Alliance to identify the critical requirements of a fully integrated air and missile defense and rapidly deploy this capability and capacity across NATO and the European continent with trust, commitment, and leadership from the coalition of the willing. It is a testament to the leading role MDAA plays in the world of missile defense, that we have been chosen to Chair this seminal event and lead several key panels. The United States, the NATO alliance, and our non-aligned European partners must should lean forward and not wait for change to happen. NATO must create positive, consequential changes in IAMD for the betterment of the Alliance and safety of Europe. The strength of NATO is pivotal in the coming year as Russia continues to defy conventional deterrence in Europe. Putin’s Russia is relying on a war of attrition in missiles and drones to win and is the single most existential threat to Europe. A fully Integrated Air and Missile Defense architecture for NATO is the answer to deter Russia.

We will be joined by leaders in NATO IAMD Development, Mr. Tom Goffus, Assistant Secretary General of Operations for NATOMajor General Paul Moga, Commander, Third Air Force, US Air Forces in Europe (USAFE)Brigadier General Volker Samanns, Head, Joint Air Power and Space Staff Element, JAPSSE, NATO International Military StaffRear Admiral (Ret) Mark Montgomery, Senior Fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, Former Deputy Director, Plans, Policy and Strategy (J5) at U. S. European Command, MDAA Board Member and many others…

MDAA is honored to help facilitate this strategic conference and discussion. In London, we will be bringing together a coalition of the willing to push for and accelerate the change required to improve both the NATO and European missile defense enterprises.

Mission Statement

MDAA’s mission is to make the world safer by advocating for the development and deployment of missile defense systems to defend the United States, its armed forces, and its allies against missile threats.

MDAA is the only organization in existence whose primary mission is to educate the American public about missile defense issues and to recruit, organize, and mobilize proponents to advocate for the critical need of missile defense. We are a non-partisan membership-based and membership-funded organization that does not advocate on behalf of any specific system, technology, architecture or entity.
