Our hearts, our compassion and our prayers of faith go to the ten sailors and the crew of the USS John S. McCain, their families and friends in hope of their recovery. They all are serving a selfless mission of service for our nation, unknowing and courageous towards the unfortunate circumstances that can take place at sea.
“O Eternal Lord God, who alone spreadest out the heavens and rulest the raging of the sea; vouchsafe to take into Thy almighty and most gracious protection our country’s Navy and all who serve therein. Preserve them from the dangers of the sea and from the violence of the enemy; that they may be a safeguard unto the United States of America and a security for such as pass on the seas upon their lawful occasions; that the inhabitants of our land may in peace and quietness serve Thee our God to the glory of Thy name” – The Navy Prayer
The nation, the Navy, and the missile defense community is devastated and in hope to find, as ten American lives are lost at sea (Link) from the USS John McCain (DDG-56), a ballistic missile defense ship deployed out of Yokosuka, Japan whose multi-mission ensures stabilization and peace to the region in these times of crisis and to defend the United States of America.
Moments of silence and reflection to them, their families and friends for their greatness, as we hope for their recovery, honor them and grieve for them.
With great respect for our U.S. Navy and to those who serve this selfless mission upon the seas.
