Hungary to buy air defense missiles from Kongsberg and Raytheon

Hungary has agreed to buy NASAMS air defense systems from Norway’s Kongsberg and U.S. arms manufacturer Raytheon Technologies, the Hungarian government said on Thursday.

It said in a statement that Hungary, which has long said it will increase military spending, would take delivery of the air defense systems in 2023.

Like many other NATO member states, Hungary remains far short of the alliance’s defense spending target of 2% of economic output…
