A new short-range air defense system is shielding one of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s residences in western Russia, according to a new report, as Ukraine maintains its campaign of launching explosive drones over the border deep into Russian territory.

Satellite imagery, shared by the Russian-language service of the U.S.-backed Radio Liberty outlet on Monday, appears to show a Pantsir-S1 air defense system “installed on a tower” approximately two miles from one of the Kremlin leader’s homes in Valdai, western Russia. The images are dated May 6, the outlet reported.

The images also appear to show unidentified technology at the site and a Radio Liberty journalist has speculated they could be long-range missiles.
