Under Secretary Rose Gottemoeller Travels to Alaska

From October 19-20, Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Rose Gottemoeller will visit Fairbanks, Fort Greely, and Anchorage.

On October 19, Under Secretary Gottemoeller will travel to Fort Greely and the 49th Missile Defense Battalion where she will visit the Missile Defense Complex and receive briefings on the Ground-based Midcourse Defense System. She will also visit the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) Organization’s International Monitoring System station at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. While there, she will deliver public remarks on the CTBT.

On October 20, Under Secretary Gottemoeller will travel to Anchorage to meet with women pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields at the University of Alaska Anchorage. She will also deliver public remarks at the University on U.S. nuclear policy and the CTBT.
