Air defense forces neutralized 64 out of 80 drones that Russian forces used to attack Ukraine overnight

During the night of December 12 (starting from 18:00 on December 11), the Russian forces launched an attack using 80 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types from the directions of Bryansk, Oryol, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo (Russia), as well as Chauda and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea. About 50 of them were Shaheds.

The air assault was repelled by aviation, air defense missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defense shot down or suppressed 64 UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types over the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.

There were 12 UAV strike impacts recorded at 8 locations, as well as debris from downed drones falling at 3 locations.
