A new 40mm anti-aircraft system capable of targeting everything from drones and cruise missiles to aircraft and armoured vehicles is being supplied to Ukraine. This was reported by Forces News on September 18.
The system, known as the Tridon Mk2, has been developed by BAE Systems to bridge the gap between missile-based air defense and counter-unmanned aircraft systems. Mounted on the back of a vehicle, it is self-propelled, remotely operated, and designed to provide rapid, flexible protection on the battlefield.
