Israel and the United States rightfully claimed victory at the end of the 12-day war with Iran. Although the ultimate objective – halting Iran’s nuclear program – was not fully achieved, the operation yielded significant operational successes. Chief among them was the disabling of Iran’s air defense system, which allowed for near-total air superiority deep over enemy territory. This, in turn, enabled precise strikes on Iran’s ballistic missile program, from its production infrastructure to its launch systems.
