Admiral Lisa Franchetti, who started her career in the United States Navy over 38 years ago as a young commissioned officer from New York, took a tremendous historic step forward to lead our nation as the 33rd Chief of Naval Operations and the first Woman to Lead and Command the United States Navy.
We are grateful and honored to have Admiral Lisa Franchetti selflessly serve our nation as our Chief of the United States Navy. She is the Right person at the Right time for the Right reasons. She is a phenomenal leader and a critical global asset to our nation and our world in making it safer during these upcoming unprecedented times. She is an outstanding people person and she has been with us in recognition and support of the best of the best people in Missile Defense around the world.
She is a leader and shipmate amongst us when we first met her seven years ago as we recognized the “Peninsula Air and Missile Defenders of the Year” together in the Republic of Korea to brave Americans and Koreans stationed on the peninsula.
“I am honored to have been confirmed as the 33rd Chief of Naval Operations, and am proud to serve alongside the Sailors and civilians that make up our Navy team. I look forward to continuing to lead the world’s most powerful Navy.” – CNO Lisa Franchetti
