Germany’s defense ministry has closed a contract with Diehl Defense to acquire IRIS-T SLM ground-based air defense systems. Germany is buying six IRIS-T SLM fire units as part of a modernization of the country’s air defense. The €950 million ($1.04 billion) contract closed with national defense.
