The Missile Defense Agency’s Terminal High Altitude Area Defense Project Office is continuously collecting Soldier feedback on weapon systems to improve both current and future capabilities.

THAAD Project Office partnered with Program Executive Office Command Control Communications-Tactical, Product Manager Satellite Communications, and Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate to conduct an assessment testing the remote launch kit satellite connection performance using the newly fielded Transportable Tactical Command Communications transport.

The test characterized the capability of forward-deployed THAAD batteries to maintain a stable communication connection – as well as execute launch commands across vast distances and in austere locations and various terrain – virtually anytime, anywhere, without the need of extensive fixed infrastructure.
