On 21 April, Latvian Defense Minister Ināra Mūrniece who participated in a meeting of Ukraine’s allies at the Ramštein air base in Germany, promised that Latvia would supply all of its Stinger man-portable air-defense systems to Ukraine, LSM.lv reports.

She noted that the donation of Stingers does not mean that Latvia will be left without MANPADs as the country has more modern RBS systems (Swedish Robotsystem 70, – Ed.).

In addition, the Latvian defense minister said that Riga is actively collaborating with other allies on a new initiative to provide military training for Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers in Latvia.
