Iran is behind a drone that entered Israeli territory from Syria late on Sunday and was subsequently downed by the IDF, this according to the latest assessments by defense establishment officials.

While the belief is that Iran sent the drone, it’s unclear if Tehran did so directly, or through one of their proxies in Syria or Lebanon.

The aircraft was intercepted and downed in a controlled manner using electronic warfare in an open area in the Hula Valley in the Galilee. Sirens weren’t activated since the aircraft did not pose danger at any stage, and the aircraft was found early on Monday morning.
