Currently deployed and operational missile defense systems by the United States in the Arabian Gulf region, Turkey, Israel, Romania, Germany, the Indian Ocean, the Persian Gulf and in the Mediterranean Sea are shaping the deterrent to and calculus of Iran, by defending U.S. & allied strike capabilities against Iran and by protecting the populations of Europe, Israel, and the Middle East if Iran chooses to launch its ballistic missiles and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in conflict. These missile defense systems that are deployed on platforms in the land, sea, air, and space help to make the threshold extremely high for Iranian attack of its preferred projection of force and power its missile inventories. The United States and its allies in the Middle East, NATO, and Israel with their missile defense systems helps to deescalate the escalating tensions between Iran and the United States.
We are much safer and better as a world for the investment, development, and deployment of missile defense systems in this Middle Eastern Region and in Europe to negate the Iranian missile threat.
