Haaretz:
Israel deployed an Iron Dome missile defense system in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area on Thursday, as tensions rise on both the Gaza border in the south and the Syria border in the north.
The Israeli army reported soldiers came under fire overnight Wednesday near the border with Syria. No casualties were reported.
On Thursday, Israel approved the transfer of $15 million from Qatar to the Gaza Strip, which was delayed for more than two weeks following an escalation along the border with Gaza. Israel believes that Hamas would not put the transfer of the funds at risk and will therefore act robustly to prevent violence at the demonstrations.
