Russian Navy to get new guided missile corvette on December 17

MOSCOW, December 15. /TASS/. The Mytishchi, the first guided missile corvette of Project 22800 Karakurt, has completed state trials and will be handed over to the Russian Navy on December 17, the Russian Defense Ministry’s press service has said.

“The newest Project-22800 missile corvette, The Mytishchi, has completed state trials in the waters of the Baltic Sea and will be handed over to the Navy on December 17,” a ministry spokesperson said.

The trials included missile launches and tests of the vessel’s safety and security systems, engine and electronics. The Mytishchi also demonstrated good seaworthiness and maneuverability in blue water and climatic conditions of northern latitudes, the press service said.
