MENA country has acquired Iskander-E ballistic missiles

A country in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, believed to be Algeria, has acquired Iskander-E ballistic missiles from Russia.

This is according to an official from Russia’s Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, who was speaking to RIA Novosti during the Dubai Airshow last week.

The official confirmed that the system has been exported to a country in the region but refused to disclose to which one it was. Russia and Armenia operate Iskander-M, which in export configuration is designated Iskander-E.
