TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami unveiled plans for manufacturing heavy fighter jets inside the country.
Production of heavy warplanes is on the agenda of the Defense Ministry, General Hatami said in a TV talk show on Monday night, saying preparations for the production of such a homegrown airplane have been made and the initial studies have been carried out.
Iran must push to gain a “strategic air force”, he underlined.
