U.S. Army:
James Johnson, the current acting Deputy to the commander of the Army’s Space and Missile Defense Command, has been approved to take over the job full-time.
He’s been the acting deputy since September, and was previously the leader of the command’s Future Warfare Center. His new job makes him the civilian equivalent of a three-star general.
He has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Alabama, Huntsville, and also has a master’s degree in systems engineering from UAH. He also holds a Master of Strategic Studies from the Army War College, and is a graduate of the Army Management Staff College and the Advanced Program Management Course.
