Lt. Col. Keith B. Weber, U.S. Army, recently received the 2016 U.S. USNORTHCOM Missile Defender of the Year Award at the 2016 NORAD and NORTHCOM Missile Warning And Defender award banquet.
The Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance held its fourth NORAD and USNORTHCOM Missile Warning and Defender of the Year ceremony on June 3 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The event honored Missile Defenders from USNORTHCOM and servicemen and women from the United States and Canada involved in Missile Warning for NORAD. These service men and women demonstrated outstanding leadership excellence in missile defense and missile warning for the year of 2016 and directly contributed to the security of the United States and Canada.
The founder and chairman of the Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance is Riki Ellison. It is a non-profit organization launched in 2002 with a singular purpose and mission to drive for the deployment, development and evolution of missile defense.
Weber enlisted in the South Dakota Army National Guard in December 1985 in Salem, as a member of Bravo Battery 1-147th Field Artillery. He received a commission through the South Dakota Military Academy (OSC) in July 1991, where he was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Field Artillery Branch.
