Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant vowed to retaliate for the long-range missile from Yemen that hit a central Tel Aviv building, killing one and wounding eight.

“The defence establishment is working to immediately strengthen all defense systems, and will settle the score with anyone who harms the State of Israel or directs terror against it,” Gallant warned in a statement provided by his office.

The Israeli rescue service Magen David Adom said one person was killed and eight people injured following a loud explosion near a branch of the US embassy in Tel Aviv.
