Northrop Grumman’s New Air and Missile Defense Integration Center Expands Manufacturing Capacity in Alabama

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – April 14, 2025 – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has opened a new state-of-the-art integration center in Madison, Alabama, in support of the United States Army’s accelerated modernization plan for air and missile defense. The new Enhanced Production and Integration Center (EPIC) builds on the company’s ability to scale production and manufacture critical capabilities at speed, expanding capacity for high rate production programs.

The new facility will manage component integration for the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS).
With this expansion, production capacity for the ready-now IBCS command and control system can increase up to 96 Engagement Operation Centers, 96 Integrated Collaborative Environments and 192 Integrated Fire Control Network relays each year.


EPIC boasts more than 129,500 square feet of flexible production space and totals 175,500 square feet of covered production space.


The facility also has 35,000 square feet of office space and can accommodate over several hundred employees, growing Northrop Grumman’s economic impact in Alabama.
