Lockheed Gets $724M MDA Follow-On Contract for Aegis Dev’t, Engineering Support

Lockheed Martin’s (NYSE: LMT) rotary and mission systems business has received a potential $724M contract from the Missile Defense Agency, to provide lifecycle engineering and development support for the Aegis ballistic missile defense system.

Work under the follow-on contract includes support for the development of Aegis Baseline 5.4.1 BMD 4.2; Baseline 9 BMD 5.X development; modeling and simulation; in-service support; flight and ground test services; Aegis system ship installation and planning; and Aegis Ashore missile defense test complex testing, combat system engineering, modernization, logistics, site and technical support, the Department of Defense said Friday…
