Jane’s 360:
Israeli military officials have expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Rafael Iron Dome air-defence system during a brief but intense escalation with Palestinian armed groups in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), and other groups fired approximately 460 projectiles into southern Israel on 12/13 November: the most intense barrage ever seen in a 24-hour period. The projectiles were mostly 107 mm and 122 mm short-range rockets and mortars, according to the Israel Defense Forces’ (IDF’s) initial findings.
An IDF source said the Iron Dome batteries “performed in an excellent manner” by intercepting more than 100 projectiles heading towards civilian built-up areas in Israel.
